Cotton On to launch shoe chain

Monday, 19 May 2008

Melbourne-based fashion retailer Cotton On has launched a new retail chain called Rubi Shoes.

The Rubi concept is less than two months old, but the second Sydney store, at Darling Harbour, will open this week.

The current Rubi locations are at Liverpool in Sydney's south-west, a temporary location at Chadstone in Melbourne, Doncaster, also in Melbourne, Jindalee in Queensland and Epping in Victoria.

Cotton On was founded in 1991 by husband and wife team Nigel and Tania Austin. Last year they were valued at $100 million on BRW’s Young Rich list.
