Here’s more proof that there’s a business in every idea.
Kids love the idea of pets, but often the novelty wears off after a week or two and then you’re left looking after the ruddy thing for the next 10 years (the pet that is, not the kid).
But a mob by the name of Rentachook have come up with a rather unique solution to the problem. As the name suggests, Rentachook provides chickens which, if you don’t like them, can be returned.
An initial fee of $360 gets you two chickens, a coop, feeder, waterer, food and straw. You get to some eggs, that the kids will love eating, and apparently chooks are even good for trimming and fertilising your lawn.
But if sometime in the next six weeks you decide the idea of keeping chickens was more fowl that fair, a quick call to Rentachook and they’ll take the little fellas off your hands and refund $260 of the initial payment. Two chooks for six weeks for $100? Bargain.
