The i Group provides recruitment both freelance and permanent, consultation and training in the communications industry (creative, design, digital, creative services and account service).
It was started by Margaret Kirby to provide permanent and freelance recruitment to the communications media. It is now recognised as a generation recruitment expert with Kirby often called upon to explain Gen-Ys… and Gen-Zs.
Kirby practices what she preaches. Four years ago the company was not cutting edge enough given the changing Gen-X and Ys. The younger candidates did not relate to the site anymore and there was a dramatic rebranding and restaffing. “As a small business you cannot rely on past achievements,” Kirby says. The company will continue to expand into Melbourne while expanding its range of services in Sydney.
