Greg Muller - iFocus

In 2000, the internet and web technologies were new to many businesses and the quality of advice and solutions was questionable.

Greg Muller positioned iFocus to fill the niche as an adviser between customers and the technology vendor community. It started in a second bedroom in East Melbourne, went national and hit problems when pushing an expansion into Sydney in 2005. “These efforts took our eyes off new business generation and redirected key management focus away from traditional markets, placing considerable pressure on profitability and cash flow.”

Muller says he learnt to take one step at a time, break objectives and tasks into yearly quarters or halves, and tick them off and make sure procedures and controls are in place prior to geographic expansion. Now iFocus is looking for acquisitions and wants to be recognised internationally for outcomes achieved this year as revenue hits $4.7 million for 2006-07.
