The increasing focus on energy efficiency at a consumer, corporate and government level is shaping as a strong platform for future growth for window insulation company Magnetite Australia.
Founded in 1999 by brothers Ben and Adrian Lafleur (right and left in picture), the business initially struggled to persuade Australian customers that there was more to windows than just filling the holes in a wall.
But as energy efficiency has become a more commonplace priority for consumers, Magnetite has found a ready market for its thermal window insulation product, resulting in healthy average annual revenue growth of 32.81% over the past to years to $2.1 million in 2007-08, compared with $1.47 million in 2006-07.
In the future the company hopes to capitalise on the big push towards thermal insulation and energy efficiency within government and private industry to generate new revenue flows.
