Coffee is the lifeblood of many an office, but for My Coffee Shop founders Mark and Carmelina Pascoe it has provided the essential ingredient for a business that now turns over more than $2 million a year, up from $1.4 million in 2006-07.
My Coffee Shop sells coffee machines for offices and workplaces in Sydney and Melbourne and then seeks to maintain an ongoing relationship for the supply of coffee and related products.
Established in 2003, the business has achieved an impressive 30.15% growth in each of the two years to 2007-08 off the back of a client list including the likes of Aldi, ANZ Bank, Rio Tinto and Victoria Police.
The firm has set the cat among the pigeons in its sector by offering extended manufacturers warranties to customers free of charge, forcing retail competitors such as Harvey Norman and David Jones to follow suit.
Future plans to set up a retail outlet and expand service and warehouse capacity should see My Coffee Shop well positioned to keep pumping out the black gold for some time to come.
