How can I make sure I am heard?

I think seeing this as a male/female situation is not quite correct. The left/right brain approach perhaps is more relevant. I am male (or was this morning when I put my trousers on) and I too often experience the same situation. I tend to see things from a very "big picture" perspective and that gets me shouted down often, when people can only see their little slices of reality.

No real advice other than to say: realise what you are, use those communication tips (but don't change your true self) and position yourself so that peple can use your strengths to supplement their weaknesses and vice versa.
