Tristan White began physical therapy company The Physio Co after leaving a private physiotherapy firm when he was 24. He thought the services offered by other companies were too cut and dried, and wanted to combine enthusiastic customer service with traditional rehabilitation programs. Australian seniors are the company's target market.

White worked at over 10 locations a week during the company's first days, having just graduated from university with limited funds. The Physio Co now employs 25 workers and has over 3000 clients.

The company offers outsourced physiotherapy visitations, equipment, podiatry services and occupational health and safety training.

The downturn is actually helping the company. White says the boom years made it a struggle to gain talented new works, but this has changed. "We're getting much more applications and a better quality of applicant."

It reached 37th on the Great Place to Work Institute's Best Workplaces List, and recorded 95% growth last year, recording $1.25 million in revenue.
