Age: 30Company: Mint Wireless
Sector: IT, mobile
Andrew Teoh founded his mobile software business Mint Wireless with brother Alex back in 2006 with less than $500,000.
The idea was to create sensible mobile software applications that would help companies get on top of their mobile payments and paperwork and make them more efficient.
It seems they were on to something, as together they listed the company on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2007, raising $8.7 million, and have won a swag of awards. The company reported revenue of $12 million for the 12 months to June 30, 2009, and a net loss of $2.1 million.
The pair has also diversified the company into other areas of the technology industry with the creation of Mint Technologies, a company that develops consumer technology including the Pico range of products that it sells through retailers in Australia and New Zealand, along with importing computer and audio visual technology from brands including Microvision and Aiptek.
