In just five years David Hancock has grown his on-site computer repairs and support company Geeks2u to employ more than 100 staff across the country.

Hancock had seen similar businesses flourishing in the US and UK and decided there was no real reason why the business couldn't work on a national basis in Australia.

"The niche made a lot of sense to me as I could see the issues my parents, relatives and family friends often had with their computers and that taking them to a shop for repair was very inconvenient," Hancock says.

The company delivers same-day service which includes hardware and software repairs, system security solutions, wireless and wired network installations, and virus and spyware prevention, and has launched an online storage business called GeekVault Online Backup.
