Lee Corbitt founded recruitment company Marble Group with business partner Gary Denton to create a level of professionalism he felt was lacking in the industry. There has been one ongoing challenge - to identify those with the talent and integrity Marble demands.
Corbitt says he wanted to focus heavily on relating his brand with high-level customer service, and has adopted a no compromise approach when it comes to front-end staff. But the scrutiny has paid off, with Marble Group recording $7.6 million in 2008-09, and the company set to record $8.4 million in the current year.
Whilst Marble Group has been dealt its fair share of challenges throughout the downturn, Corbitt has worked hard at maintaining staff morale. Investing in the up skilling of existing staff, providing them with fresh tools to prosper in a tight market has been key. Other business critical strategies have included "the growth of leaders throughout the business, developing a culture that nurtures innovation, and an unwavering focus on giving clients and candidates the best possible experience".
