Social networking giant Facebook has teamed up with Microsoft's Bing search engine, with the engine to start adding Facebook's social data into results.

Users will start seeing links their friends have recommended in search engines. For instance, if you search for a restaurant in a particular city, a review from one of your friends on Facebook could pop up.

"Your friends have liked lots of things all over the web, and now instead of stumbling across a new movie or having to look at a friend's profile to see which restaurants they like, we're bringing everything together in one place," Facebook said in a statement.

The two companies also said the same situation could happen for DVDs and other products. While not all searches will display social information, both companies said they will play a large part in search results as the engine grows.
