A woman in New Zealand has been fired from her position as a financial controller for using "angry" fonts.

Vicki Walker was fired from ProCare Health because she "caused disharmony in the workplace by using block capitals, bold typeface and red text in her emails", according to the company.

However, Walker told the New Zealand Herald that it was just one email that had her fired, which specified how her staff should fill out a claim form.

"To ensure your staff claim is processed and paid, please do follow the below checklist," the email read, highlighted in bold red, with one sentence written in capitals and in a bold blue colour.
