Sydney-based eNerds launched as an outsourced IT services provider in 2000 and is the brainchild of 31-year-old Jamie Warner.
At just 22, Warner established eNerds after witnessing the difficulty people experienced when structuring their IT support services within their business, as he felt he could deliver a more cost-effective and professional service.
Since then the company has grown quickly, going from one to 16 employees, working with a wide range of client companies from sectors including recruitment, professional services, not-for-profit, manufacturing, legal and finance.
"eNerds works with companies that have 20 to 250 employees who want business continuity, cost containment and maximum IT system availability to support their business," says Warner.
At such a young age, Warner definitely experienced his fair share of hardships.
"Imagine being 22, diving head first into running a company and realising your business degree really didn't highlight all the challenges you're likely to face," he says. "Plus eNerds commenced business during the dotcom crash which was a tough time to start a business. Luckily, our strong recurring income model enabled us to continue to grow and be prosperous throughout that time."
Today though, hardships are just a distant memory, with plans to expand throughout Australia and New Zealand.
"Our vision is to become a well-known and respected brand for delivering business IT services throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our next big move is to expand and establish offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland."
"We have also launched a new web hosting service, www.eNerdsHosting.com.au, which we hope will become a respected player in the hosting arena throughout Australia and New Zealand. In five-to-10 years time, our goal will be to offer this service globally," says Warner.
