Stocks edge up to 14-month high: Afternoon market insights

Australian shares reached a 14-month this morning before losing ground later in the day.
At 2.10pm, the ASX200 had added 0.07%, while the broader All Ordinaries gained 0.09% to 4455.7.
The Australian dollar softened today, buying $US1.02235.
