Coming up with a business idea while working as a roadie in Europe and then starting up in a cramped, 29-metre-square premises hardly heralds instant entrepreneurial success.

However, one of the strengths of Noodle Box, apart from its well-targeted proposition, is that its founders, David Milne and Josh James, didn’t do everything by the textbook.

Today, Milne tells how overseas travel, franchising and lunchtime dashes for more ingredients have all played a part in the company’s rise.

Elsewhere, mentor Michael Fox explains how to handle suppliers and we look at the start-up opportunities in the online music sales market.
