Kellogg’s, Panadol, Sony, Nokia, and Qantas all have something in common: they’re among Australia’s most trusted brands.
According to the annual Reader’s Digest “Most Trusted” survey, Australians value a brand being “true to its promise,” with Cadbury taking out the overall most trusted prize.
Other winners include Bunning’s, which beat Target, Kmart and Myer for the retailers’ category, while LG trumped Harvey Norman and Samsung for whitegoods.
Apple’s release of the iPhone and iPod touch did nothing to keep it in the high ground, losing to Hewlett-Packard and runner up, Toshiba in the computers category.
Credit card users found Visa to be the most trusted provider, while Vodafone won out in the telecommunications category. Toyota, fresh from its hybrid-car announcement last week, came out as the most trusted car company.
