New bankruptcy laws could hurt SMEs

One of the concerns at weakening the stance of the credit providers in these situations is opening up the laws to abuse by sharp consumers.

The flipside being that if the ability to enforce a debt by a company is weakened then this will restrict a consumer’s ability to obtain credit.

Some people might say this is not a bad thing, but on the whole, it could impact negatively on SME volumes.
