Startup featured in a SmartCompany list of business podcasts you should be listening to in 2015, and since then, it has continued to pump out high-quality episodes about “what it’s really like to get a business off the ground”.
In its fourth season, the popular US-based podcast is hosted by radio producer Alex Blumberg, former producer for This American Life and a co-founder of NPR’s Planet Money podcast.
StartUp touches on topics like fundraising, picking a business name and recovering from business burnout. The podcast also covers the rise of Blumberg’s company Gimlet Media, and the challenges he faced in getting it off the ground.
StartUp currently releases approximately three episodes a month with full transcripts, and Blumberg often includes interesting guests on the show, including fellow entrepreneurs.
