The answer to this question depends on how you set up your Facebook page to start with; there are two ways you could have done it:

1) You were logged into your personal Facebook profile when you created the page.
2) You were NOT logged into Facebook when you created your page.

To create a page whether you are logged in or not, go to: https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

If you WERE logged in then, no you can’t disconnect your personal profile from your page. If you WEREN’T logged in to create your page, and then later added your personal profile as an admin then you can take yourself off as an admin and just use the other login that you created.

If your personal Facebook profile is the one that you used to set up your page or is the only admin for the page, don’t worry because:

  • No one on your page knows who the admins for the page are unless you tell them.
  • Nothing that you post on your personal profile will ever be seen on the page.
  • People who like your page will see your personal profile (if they look) the same way that anyone who is not your friend on Facebook sees it.

The advantage of having your personal Facebook profile connected to the page is that you only have one logon and one password, rather than having to remember two.

You can add as many admins as you want on the page, and I always recommend having at least two, so that if one of you gets locked out of Facebook for any reason there is another person who can still look after the page.
