Dr. Michael R. Burgdorf has made a career dedicating himself to helping others. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans before furthering his education with a master’s degree in public health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Burgdorf pursued a career in plastic surgery, driven by his interest in combining his artistic vision with his medical expertise. He completed his residency training and became board-certified in plastic surgery.

After his residency, Dr. Burgdorf settled in Nashville and set out to start his own practice and build his own business. It was in Brentwood, about 15 minutes from Nashville city, that he founded Music City Plastic Surgery, with a focus on procedures for mothers recovering from childbirth. Aside from what is now touted as the “mommy makeover,” the practice has built its reputation on the range of cosmetic procedures it offers while using advanced technology to achieve the outcomes patients desire. The practice’s eventual success grew through Dr. Burgdorf prioritising patient well-being and focusing on personalised care throughout each patient’s surgical journey.
