Award Shortlistees

Smart Energy

The team at Smart Energy say they are “on a mission to save the planet one roof at a time”. The vertically integrated solar tech company caught the attention of our judges because its services improve access to green energy sources, while reducing the energy costs of Australian households.

One judge noted Smart Energy’s focus on customer service and satisfaction “was admirable”, while another said it was impressive the business had stayed ahead of changing solar policy “to achieve significant growth in a short period”.

CaSE & Pike Design

Construction business CaSE & Pike Design was shortlisted in the Eco Warrior category for its use of emerging technology in assessing the energy use of its projects.

Our judges noted that the business has adopted building information modeling (BIM), allowing its engineers to evaluate the life cycle of the buildings they construct. It’s a powerful approach that quantifies how infrastructure uses energy, from construction through to deconstruction, and makes getting green certification easier.
