Helicopter sushi proves fun ideas can make a business fly

A popular London sushi chain, Yo Sushi has deployed two mini-helicopters to deliver orders.

If you ever worked in hospitality, this nifty little invention is sure to spark a strong reaction. Whether you’re delighted at not having to leave the counter or kitchen (and the thrill of flying it), or horrified at the inevitable customer-related crash, there’s no denying this is fun.

You’ve probably also joked about a similar idea with co-workers if you’re in the food business, or about MIA waiters when you’re out and about.

According to Design Taxi, if the trays prove popular Yo Sushi may roll them out to all 64 stores. While it may not be a sustainable option (although we hope it is), it’ll certainly send customers to Yo Sushi in droves.

What’s a quirky, quasi-practical idea you could implement to spark interest in your business, and make a basic, every-day function of your business fun?
