New app helps tourists Find A Park
Tuesday, August 9, 2011/
Find A Park, a helpful new app for tourists, is one of a new wave of apps aimed at the older smartphone-using demographic.
After a long day driving, Find A Park can track all caravan parks that are nearby using a GPS device. Users can also search each park by amenities, as well as discounts and affiliations.
“Find A Park is the caravan and holiday park directory for people on the move and those planning a holiday in Australia,” iTunes says of the app.
“[Users can] search caravan parks by state, town or park name, or let Find A Park search for parks nearest to you.”
Users can also leave a caravan park review and look at the reviews of other travellers, get map directions and make reservations.
For the thousands of grey nomads that embark on an Australia-wide journey every year, this sort of app is the ideal tool to have on the road. Can you think of any other apps that might make the journey even easier?
