New dating aimed at unlucky-in-love geeks

start-up-idea-geekNerds and geeks are being urged to use new Melbourne-based dating site SinglesWall. Launched by Moshfegh Hamedani, the site is aimed at geeks, nerds and those who find them endearing.

Ultimately, all love seekers are welcome to join SinglesWall, with Hamedani inviting other groups such as artists and musicians to sign up ahead of new site features in coming weeks.

“Groups will be published on the website in a few weeks’ time so someone who belongs to certain groups can look at other members in that group and have discussions with them,” he says.

“It makes it a very simple and effective way for people to meet without the pressure of online dating.”

According to the SinglesWall website, it takes less than 20 seconds to sign up.

“Research shows most people are lazy reading online. Most don’t even bother reading the lengthy paragraphs you need to write about yourself for other dating sites,” the website says.

“On SinglesWall, you can tell about yourself and your interests using tags. Tags are single keywords that tell a lot about you.”

While there is no shortage of dating sites, the launch of SinglesWall suggests there are still untapped niches in the market. Can you think of any others?
