If your smartphone uses a recent version of Android, such as JellyBean or KitKat, there’s a simple way to add some contact details to the lock screen of your phone, in case it ever gets lost. Here’s how to do it.
In the settings menu, scroll down until you see an option called “Lock Screen” and tap on it.
At the bottom of the lock screen menu, there should be a menu option called “Owner Information”.
Tap on it and a dialogue box will pop up, prompting you to enter your contact details.
For example, you might type something like “If you find this phone, please email jane – doe at example.com”. Then, just press “Okay”.
The next time you’re at your lock screen, your owner information message should appear.
