How to check your IP address

From time to time, you may need to check your IP address in order to figure out a problem with your network or internet connection.

If you use Windows 7, there’s an easy way to figure it out.

First, open up a command prompt by pressing the Start menu, and then typing “cmd” in the “run” box. Then, press Enter.

Once the command prompt appears, type “ipconfig”. Press Enter, and then you’ll be given all the current network information for your computer – including the IP address.
