If you’re not using keyboard shortcuts, then you should be. Use these to get your Gmail inbox under control:

- Mute conversations with M
- Press E to archive
- To star an item, press S
- To open your starred items folder, press G then S.
- To head back to the inbox, press G then I.
You’ll need to turn on keyboard shortcuts through the Gmail settings page, but once those are turned on, you’ll be good to go.
