Social networking giant Facebook is updating every user’s profile page, adding new features designed to make it easier to access the most important parts of any page.

The company said in a blog post that the new design is aimed to get more information faster, with the page trying to make “your entire profile a more compelling visual experience”.

Each page now features more information, including photos and other images, than before.

“The profile begins with a quick overview of basic information such as where you’re from, where you went to school, and where you work – the kinds of conversation starters you share with people you’ve just met or exchange with old friends as you get reacquainted,” Facebook explained in a blog.

Each profile page also allows users to display their interests in icons and pictures, not just text.
