A new laptop created by gaming peripherals group Razer uses an LCD screen as a touchpad that can alternatively display information if a user chooses a mouse instead.

The laptop, which was announced yesterday, is designed as a top-level gaming machine, and attempts to combat the growing number of thin laptops, measuring only 0.8mm thick.

The LCD screen acts as a type of touchpad, and is powered by the company’s own Switchblade tech. When the device is connected to a mouse, the LCD displays more information for the user.

The device itself is 17 inches, and features an Intel i7 processor, along with 8GB of RAM, and 320GB of storage.
