Apple co-founder Steve Jobs delayed the iPhone 5 due to it having a different sized screen than the current line-up, a new report has claimed.
The report comes after separate reports appeared several weeks ago alleging that Jobs had been working on the new iPhone 5 this year before his death, in order to have it released next year.
A new report on Business Insiders states that a prototype of the iPhone 5 was made, and that it had a bigger, four-inch screen, compared to the current versions.
According to an unnamed source – who made claims that could be confirmed by a second party – the phone also had an aluminium backing and was also flatter than the current iPhones.
The report itself notes the rumours could be substantiated, have not been confirmed, and should be taken “with a grain of salt”.
