Australian carriers to offer iPad plans

While Australian users may have to wait an extra month to get their hands on an Apple iPad, they can rest assured all local 3G carriers have confirmed they will offer plans for the device.

Yesterday it was reported that Vodafone confirmed it would sell iPad plans in some international locations, including Australia. Later in the afternoon, further confirmations were made. VHA announced both the Vodafone and Three brands would offer iPad plans.

“Vodafone and 3 mobile today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in Australia,” Gizmodo reported.
Meanwhile, Telstra wrote on their Exchange blog that it “will offer dedicated iPad price plans from the end of May in Australia”.

Optus spoke to tech site APC, saying that “Optus today confirmed it will offer plans for all 3G-enabled iPad models from the end of May”. However, despite the confirmations, no details have been given regarding pricing.
