The American Transportation Security Agency has now created its own Instagram account, showing off pictures of confiscated material from travellers.
Some of the pictures show relatively straightforward contraband, such as firearms, but others are stranger – including an inert grenade and a stun gun disguised as a packet of cigarettes.
The TSA opened a blog back in 2008 where it started to upload pictures of a similar nature, but the Instagram account is sure to gain some new followers.
The TSA has come under increasing scrutiny over the past few years, especially for its use of full-body scanners. Privacy advocates have opposed their use in major airports.
