Google is gearing up to release an updated version of its Nexus 4 smartphone in partnership with LG, according to reports.
Citing supply chain sources in Taiwan, Digitimes reports the co-branded device is set to be launched sometime around October of 2013.
As was the case with Nexus 4, the new smartphone is likely to be similar in design to LG’s flagship smartphone, which is currently the LG G2.
The LG G2 features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.26GHz, a processor more powerful than Samsung Galaxy S4’s quad-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Series 600 processor.
It also features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS (high definition in-plane switching) display at 1920 by 1080 pixels, where the Samsung Galaxy S4 uses a 1920 x 1080 pixel display.
