Samsung, Apple agree to patent negotiations

Patrick Stafford /

Samsung and Apple have agreed to meet and negotiate in order to reach a settlement over legal action that accuses each company of unlawful action with regard to tablet and smartphone tech.

According to Reuters, the two companies have agreed to negotiate as per a court filing made in the US District Court.

Both companies have been involved in major legal battles over the past year in a number of different countries, accusing each other of violations.

The most prominent of these in Australia was an injunction Apple successfully made against Samsung, barring it from selling the Galaxy Tab for several weeks.
